Sundays: Rest, Reset, and a Little Reminder Just for You – Style With Heart, Purpose, and a Cozy Blanket
Contrary to popular belief, I love what I do. Truly. I love creating beautiful moments with my customers. I love helping women find joy and confidence in what they wear. And I absolutely love serving my Bloom Crew — encouraging, coaching, linking arms together. It’s not just a job, it’s a calling.
But even in the middle of all that purpose and passion, I’ve learned something important:
Rest is not a reward. It’s a requirement.
I’m a firm believer in “work hard, play harder”… and sometimes, nap harder too.
Sundays for me are a reminder that God didn’t just suggest rest — He modeled it. Rest doesn’t mean lazy. It means intentional. It means stepping away to breathe, reset, and refill your cup. As women, we are often pouring into everyone else — family, business, friends, life — and we forget that we can’t pour from an empty vessel.
So what does rest look like for you?
Maybe it’s wandering the aisles of Target with no real agenda (but somehow leaving with 17 things including another pair of shoes, am I right?).
Maybe it’s floating in the pool with the sun on your face and no phone in sight.
Maybe it’s a cozy cuddle on the couch with your fur baby and a much-needed snooze.
Or maybe it’s just sitting still with a journal, a prayer, or a moment of quiet gratitude.
Whatever that looks like for you, girl, don’t forget to do it.
This is your reminder — from my heart to yours — to give yourself permission to rest. Not when everything is done. Not when the to-do list is empty. But now. Because rest fuels purpose. Stillness creates space for clarity. And rest… is holy.
Here’s to Sundays — and every other moment — where you pause, reset, and remember:
You’re worth caring for, too.
With love and a soft blanket,
Chalisa 💛
